The Bulava Bee Venom Collector is bee-friendly and the process of collecting bee venom is harmless to bees. When a bee stings a soft surface, it cannot pull out its stinger – this will lead to injury and death of the bee. When a bee stings a hard surface (the glass surface of the platform for collecting bee venom “Bulava”), the stinger does not get stuck and the bee does not lose it, because the bee’s stinger remains with the bee.

The process of bee venom collection is very simple: after installing electronic platforms (modules) for collecting bee venom before entering the hives, connecting the module to the control unit and turning on the device, worker bees begin to actively gather on the surface of the module and sting the surface of the venom collector module. Liquid portions of bee venom instantly dry on the glass surface of the bee venom collector module, and the bee venom remains on the glass in the form of dry apitoxin crystals. At the end of the working day, all that remains is to remove the dry bee venom from the glass of the bee venom collector module with a special scraper.
Technological fact: during the day, all worker bees entering the hive, not just a subset of the hive’s worker bees, pass through the electronic module of the Bulova bee venom collector.
Therefore, on the first day of venom collection, venom production will be at its peak, while on the second and subsequent days, venom production will decrease. A break in venom collection for each hive is necessary to restore venom production within 8-12 days. This is the average number of days it takes for worker bees to restore venom production.
